Road to Remy

Erik Remy Jenkins is a Chicago based anomaly with a passion for lyrics, poetry, and the traditional country, folk, and rockabilly sounds. Born on a Marine base and raised in the Coachella Valley and Palm Springs area, this desert rat represents a different kind of southern America with a southwest twist.

Jenkins began writing songs in 2009 whilst working as a security guard and sitting in a small guardhouse for 8 hours a day with no break. It was in this guardhouse that the lyrics of E-40, Chuck Berry, Liz Anderson, Bobbie Gentry and John Hartford inspired the young artist to write lyrics himself.

In 2012, Jenkins recorded and released his first song, Notre Rencontre, a song all in French, written and produced by fellow Coachella Valley artist, Arslane Merabet. In 2014, the pair recorded Jenkins' own song, Midnight TRAIN. His debut music video for Midnight Train was filmed in the Las Vegas Art District on his 27th birthday during the 20th Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend in April 2017.

Jenkins' first live performance was an Elvis Presley cover show for a Christmas party held at Elvis and Priscilla's Honeymoon Hideaway home in Palm Springs.

Since he started his muisc venture, Erik Remy Jenkins has released a string of singles as well as a cover of Crystal Gayle's Wrong Road Again.

The Coachella Valley native is currently working on his debut EP. In the meantime, get your Remy fix here, and at any of the oulets listed below.
